South wins All Star Classic 16-7

All Star Fun!

Sparked by Lance Magee's interception return for touchdown on the games first play, the South All Stars defeat the North 16-7 in Indiana's North/South All Star Classic.

Magee a recent Avon High School graduate who is headed to Parkland College to play basketball, intercepted a pass by North quarterback Zach Terrell and returned it 20 yards just 4 seconds into the game.

The South then built a 16-0 halftime lead behind University of Illinois bound and Scecina graduate Ryan Frain's foot as he converted a 52 yard field goal and conversion, Franklin College recruit Cody Hess from Evansville Mater Dei added a 1 yard touchdown score.

The North's only score cam on a 56 yard pass by quarterback Justin Laurey to Purdue bound receiver Danny Anthrop of Lafayette Central Catholic with 7:19 remaining in the game.

Meager was named the "Tyler Roth" MVP of the game for his impressive play. The South now lead the series 25-21. Proceeds from the game went to the Indiana Football Hall of Fame and Camp Riley.
